Marshall Fields’ Glamorama takes a walk on the wild side this year with Glam Rocks — a high-energy mesh of fashion and rock ‘n’ roll.

Tickets for the Aug. 12 event at the Chicago Theatre go on sale June 9. Ranging in price from $50 to $1,000, the annual event benefits the Art Institute of Chicago.

In tune with the free spirit of rock ‘n’ roll, there will be no host at this year’s event. Instead, the producers promise a streamlined show fueled by music and the creations of designers such as Zac Posen, Etro, Paul Smith and Tuleh.

The B-52’s have signed on to entertain, as has the East Village Opera Company, which will perform rock songs with an operatic sensibility.
