CRAVITY celebrated their comeback earlier this month with their mini album, “SEASON 3 HIDEOUT: BE OUR VOICE,” and their exilarating lead track, “My Turn.” Signed to Starship Entertainment — home of K-pop’s MONSTA X — the nine-man group did an interview with KOCOWA, where we talked about everything from favorite K-dramas, which actor they’d want to play them in a biopic, and how much fun they’d have on a show like “Running Man.” At times, the guys enthusiastically talked over each other. At their suggestion, those quotes are attributed to the entire band, which fits into their all for one, and one for all attitude..

Q: If there was a K-Drama or film made about CRAVITY, what would it be called and which actor would you want to portray you?
Serim
: The title would be “CRAVITY.” It would be nice if famous actors could play our roles, but I think it would also be great if a trainee with a dream of becoming an idol could portray me.
Allen: I would have me play myself, because I feel like my life is just like the ones in the dramas.
Jungmo: I’m going to set my dream high, because it’s good to have big dreams. I hope actor Lee Dong-Wook (“The Scent of a Woman“) could portray me.
Woobin: It would be so much fun if actor Lee Dong-hwi (“Gunman in Joseon“) could play me!
Wonjin: We have no relationship with him, but I personally respect and love Cho Jung Seok‘s (“The Nokdu Flower“) acting. I would be really honored if he could play me.
Minhee: There are too many great actors that it’s hard for me to choose! (Laughs.)
Hyeongjun: I think the title would be “Sweat and Hard Work to Make a Debut.” And I’d really be thankful if any actor could play me.
Taeyoung: The title would be “Pursue Your Dream”! Wow, it’s amazing to think about a K-drama made about CRAVITY and the actors … lit! I would say a boy full of dreams and curiosity would be an ideal choice (to play me).
Seongmin: It feels unusual, but astonishing, thinking about someone else acting as myself. Wouldn’t it be nice if an actor who has a similar personality and appearance could portray me?

Q: “Dramarama,” of course, is well known to Monbebes. Were you nervous performing that song on “Weekly Idol“?
CRAVITY: We’ve practiced MONSTA X’s songs a lot when we were trainees, and we are still studying a lot from their performances. Among many, “Dramarama” was the first dance cover we’ve shown through Weekly Idol after we became CRAVITY. We were very nervous, but we practiced it so hard thinking about our direct senior sunbaenims!

Q: Korea has so many idols who are popular actors and actresses. Who are some of your favorite idols who also act?
CRAVITY: Do Kyung-soo (from EXO) who starred in the movie “My Annoying Brother” and the very famous drama “It’s Okay, That’s Love.” And Im Si Wan (from ZE:A), who starred in many K-dramas such as “Misaeng.” We love how their acting is not only good, but it resonates with the viewers. Crossing over different genres seems very easy for them when it comes to acting and we truly respect that! If we could ever get a chance to act later on, we’d like to show you a great act just like them.

Q: What K-dramas have you enjoyed?
Jungmo: I recently watched “Kingdom.” I was totally immersed in the plot line and it was also visually stunning! I’d like to recommend it to our overseas fans.
Wonjin: I like the drama “Fight for My Way” the most. I think the story behind each character and how it is connected in different background settings was very interesting.
Seongmin: I watch dramas or movies whenever I have spare time. I enjoyed watching “Start-Up” recently.
Minhee: I really enjoyed watching the “Guardian: The Lonely and Great God.”

Q: What are some of your favorite reality shows?
Minhee
: “The Manager” is my favorite. It’s interesting, because there are a lot of situations that I could sympathize with.
Woobin: I enjoy watching “Home Alone” and “How Do You Play?”
Allen: I’ve seen reality shows such as “Begin Again,” “Home Alone” and “Hyena on the Keyboard,” all of which I really enjoy.

Q: I’d love to see you all on “Running Man” some day!
CRAVITY
: Running Man is one of the TV shows that we all enjoy watching. And it is one of the programs that we really want to try out if we ever get a chance! All of us are active and we all like sports, so if we appear on “Running Man,” we think we could make a great episode.

Q: Thank you so much for doing this interview with me. What would you like to say to your fandom, LUVITY!
Serim
: I cannot wait to be on stage in front of LUVITY and meet all of you in person after the pandemic situation is over. We hope all of you stay healthy and happy until we meet each other. We love you so much!
Allen: LUVITY! Thanks you guys so much for all your love and support! I know you guys are probably dying to see us and we feel the same way too! Please wait just a little longer and I believe together we may get through rough times. Always be sure to wear your masks, drink lots of water, wash your hands, and use hand sanitizers! A big thank you to CRAVITY for taking the time to do this interview. It was so much fun hearing about your hopes and dreams. In the meantime, we’ll all keep our fingers crossed that once this pandemic is under control, LUVITY will get to see the group perform live on tour  … and as guests on “Running Man“! Fighting!
