LeAnn Rimes will be the first one to tell you that she likes to be in control of just about every aspect of her life, including travel. “I’m very hands on when it comes to planning trips,” the 30-year-old singer says, laughing. “I really would love to go on a safari. That’s the next thing I want to do, and I’ve been planning it for a couple years now. I’m looking forward to going away with my husband (actor Eddie Cibrian).” But first, Rimes will tour to promote her new CD “Spitfire.” Fans may follow her on Twitter @leannrimes. Q. What is your favorite vacation destination?

A. That’s hard to answer, because I have been everywhere. I love Cabo San Lucas and Eddie and I are down there all the time. It’s a quick flight for us. I travel so much for work, so flying a long distance isn’t something I want to do on my off time.

Q. Has the novelty of touring worn off for you?

A. I actually love touring, because I get to see so many different places. I love Ireland. Dublin is wonderful. Belfast is pretty and has amazing food. I’m a big food person and tend to judge a place by how good its food is. I like to try what the locals eat.

Q. What is your favorite restaurant?

A. I would have to say the French Laundry (in Yountville in Napa County, Calif.). It’s amazing. The food is insanely good.

Q. Were you surprised at how much you liked a particular destination?

A. Actually, yes! My husband filmed a movie in Toronto and I lived there for four weeks. That was amazing and fun. The people are awesome and the food is spectacular. I perform there fairly often, but I didn’t know a lot about Toronto before I spent all that time there. It was so clean and I loved being able to just walk about. I think Canadians are fun, sweet people. We would be walking around in sweats and people would be yelling from their cars, “We love you guys!” I’m looking forward to going back.

Q. What was the first trip you took as a child?

A. My first plane trip was to New York when I auditioned for “Annie” on Broadway. I was six years old. I loved it! My godmother, who had traveled everywhere, was the one to take me, so my parents knew I was in good hands.

Q. Are you a sensible packer?

A. No. I don’t pack lightly! I have a whole suitcase for shoes. I definitely have some packing issues. Right now, I’m looking at my floor full of clothes. I like to make sure I have my options. When we’re going on vacation to some place tropical where I’ll be in a bikini the whole time, I take less clothes. But I still pack a lot.

Q. When you go away, what are some of your must-have items?

A. I bring a lot of candles. That’s my big thing. I also bring a Magic Bullet Blender, so that I can have healthy food and shakes whenever I want.

Q. Where is the most romantic destination?

A. We really love Tahiti. That was amazing. We took a trip a few years ago and stayed in the huts over the water. It was just gorgeous.

Q. What are your favorite cities?

A. I really love Toronto and Chicago, especially in the summer. There’s so much great music. I got to know both these cities pretty well, because my husband was shooting things in both cities. I’ve always loved New York. The energy is just great, and there are so many places to go hear live music.

Q. What is your guilty pleasure when you’re on the road?

A. I probably eat a little less healthy on the road. It’s the one time I allow myself to have real fast food without feeling guilty about it.

Q. What is your worst vacation memory?

A. I was in Miami on vacation and I got severe food poisoning. That stands out in my mind for sure!

      1. Sorry but loathe. Even for the conruty music awards she looks too tacky. First I will say I really don’t like these Stella M. dresses. However, I think it looks the best on LeAnn so far. My problem is not with the dress, but with the dress for the occasion and on the person. I don’t understand why she continues to perpetuate our opinion of her as a hussy. Have some class for once girl.

      2. I really don’t like this look not a fan of this celtoclion to start + the hair is HORRIBLE & I don’t like the shoes with this dress. It doesn’t help that LeAnn is always pushing her chest out as far as possible, along with her ass, etc yeah, we get it already you LOVE yourself lots & lots..congratulations. Please stop shoving it in everyone’s face.

  1. Job well done! You took a person I can’t stand and made a really nice column. Was she a nice person to interview, ’cause she dosn’t come across that way in real life.

  2. LeAnn’s physical tomisforaatnrn is amazing! It’s big improvement from her body back in the movie Coyote Ugly. Now I think she could play one of those sexy bartender girls. She looked great in the dress, but her hair was a mess. If it could also work on a housewife in a Juicy Couture velour hoodie and pants, it’s bad.

  3. The dress is probably one of the best of this oreavll terrible collection, but I don’t like this look at all. The clutch clashes with the dress’ pattern, and the shoes are really tacky Plus, I don’t think that the one-shoulder thing suites her, the breast area looks a bit awkard.
