Go Away With … Tyler Hoechlin

Tyler Hoechlin has played a lycanthrope (“Teen Wolf”) and will portray an author in the upcoming “Fifty Shades of Grey” sequels (“Fifty Shades Darker,” “Fifty Shades Freed”). And later this year, he will appear as Superman in the series, “Supergirl.” But in his latest film, “Everybody Wants Some!!” (now available on DVD and Blu-ray), Hoechlin played a part he knows well: a college baseball player. He played infield at the University of California at Irvine.

Noble, My Love (고결한 그대)

This 2015 Korean rom com is very pleasant on the eyes. The leads — Bang Sung Hoon (“Oh My Venus”) and Kim Jae Kyung — both have model good looks and share some really fun scenes. Though you know going in that the poor-nice-girl-meets-rich-cold-boy storyline will end with a wedding, I was happy to be on board. But, the main problem I had with this short series was the insufferable control issues that were played off as cute, rather than creepy.

Fifty shades of Jae

A few months ago, the book club I belong to picked “Fifty Shades of Grey” to read. You know what I’m talking about. “Mommy porn,” as it came to be called by the media, which took note of its popularity with middle-aged married women. With a controversial subject (S&M, kinky sex), it’s the type of book that no one wants to admit they read, much less liked.
