Go Away With … Page Kennedy

Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Page Kennedy is based out of Los Angeles these days, though he has spent a good chunk of time filming in Canada. “I really like Canada,” says Kennedy, 38. “I was most recently in Vancouver in the summer filming ‘Backstrom.’ There’s so much to do. They had the Shakespeare Festival, which was a lot of fun. The water was beautiful and the architecture was really pretty. You don’t see buildings like that in Los Angeles.”

Take Two With Steve Guttenberg

During  lunch at Spiaggia, Steve Guttenberg tells a reporter of his fantasy: waking up at 11:30 a.m., getting a massage and then going for a swim. That sounds simple enough for a movie star, but it’s one Guttenberg can’t indulge in these days.  With three films out this year – including “It Takes Two,” which is in its opening weekend at
local theaters – he has had to spend his time working the press. (“The Big Green” came out a few months ago, and “Home for the Holidays”  is continuing in Chicago.)

Ninja actor gets a kick from karate film work

Cannon Films is touting actor Michael Dudikoff as the next big action hero. Luckily for him, there’s not a lot he can’t do physically.A longtime fitness enthusiast, he’s adept at most sports – except karate. That may surprise fans who saw him play a martial arts expert in “American Ninja.”
Dudikoff’s latest film, “American Ninja 2: The Confrontation,” is now playing at local theaters. The sequel to the successful 1985 thriller marks Dudikoff’s return as stoic superhero Joe Armstrong.
